● What is Green PIN?
Green PIN is an OTP-based ATM Card PIN generation facility implemented by Punjab Gramin Bank to offer a hassle-free, paperless, and instant PIN setup experience. Instead of waiting for a PIN mailer, customers can set their ATM PIN immediately using a 6-digit OTP delivered to their registered mobile number — valid for 72 hours.

Generate OTP
Get a 6-digit OTP on your registered mobile — via SMS or PNB ATM.
Step 2
Set Your PIN
Use the OTP at a PNB ATM or PGB Mobile Banking app to set your new 4-digit PIN.

OTP Generation
Send SMS from Registered Mobile
Open your SMS app and send the following message to 8512011115 from your registered mobile number.
SMS Format:
DCPIN <CARD NUMBER>DCPIN 5089451234567890System Validates Your Details
The system will instantly validate your registered mobile number and debit card number.
Ensure the mobile number sending the SMS is the one registered with your PGB account.
Receive 6-Digit OTP
On successful validation, a 6-digit OTP will be sent to your registered mobile number.
OTP is valid for 72 hours from the time of generation.

Setting Your ATM PIN
Visit PNB ATM & Insert Card
Go to any Punjab National Bank ATM and insert your PGB debit card.
Select Language
Choose your preferred language.
Click on Generate PIN
Select the 'Generate PIN' option from the ATM main menu.
Click on OTP Validation
Select 'OTP Validation' to proceed to PIN setting.
Enter 6-Digit OTP
Enter the 6-digit OTP you received on your registered mobile number, then click Yes.
Set & Confirm Your New PIN
Enter your new 4-digit ATM PIN, then re-enter it to confirm. Your new PIN will be set immediately.
● Before You Begin
Important Points to Remember
The SMS for OTP generation must be sent from your registered mobile number only.
The 6-digit OTP received is valid for 72 hours. Generate a fresh OTP if expired.
OTP can be used at any PNB ATM — not just your home branch ATM.
For Mobile Banking PIN setting, the OTP and card expiry details must match exactly.
Your new PIN will be active immediately after successful submission.
Never share your OTP or new PIN with anyone — including bank staff.
